Please come and join us on Friday, 29 November 2024 at 6pm in the main school hall for the SGSPTA Autumn Quiz, with the Headmaster Ben Cloves as quiz master.

Parents, students and siblings are all welcome, and it’s a great way to get to know other parents, teachers and friends of the school in a fun and informal atmosphere, with questions covering a wide range of topics.

There will be prizes for teams (including best student team) and the winning team will be able to set questions at the next quiz.

Doors open at 6pm, with the Quiz itself starting at 6.30pm. Teams will be in groups of six to eight people. Don’t worry if you are not part of a team – we can allocate you in a team. Please let us know if you would like to sit with parents of students in a particular form or from your postcode area.

All proceeds will go to help the School. The PTA plays an important role in raising additional funds for the School – enabling, for example, support for science, DT, art, sport, music and the School library. The money raised this year will help to renovate the sport pavilion at Northey.

Standard places are: £15.00 each for adults and £8.00 staff, their guests and for students U18 and includes a margherita pizza; if you do not like pizza, please bring your own food. Please also bring drinks (including cups), nibbles and other food you would like with you.

Adults may also BYO alcoholic drinks.

As the quiz is usually full to capacity, please reply and make payment early if you would like a place as places are subject to availability. Deadline for booking is Friday, 15 November.

Purchase your places. Standard full-price places are £15 each; places for staff and their guests, students and all under-18s are £8 each.

Confirmation of booking will be sent by email.

Refunds on cancellation are available up to and including 22 November, but not thereafter. There will be a guest list but no tickets.

Please be aware that if you have a food allergy we cannot guarantee the pizzas will not contain this as they are not being produced by the school.
