The school ultimately hopes to turn this space into a new PE facility alongside some classrooms, but in the interim, the newly tarmacked area is up for grabs for pupils to stake their claims for the territory.
Will it be some keen footballers who declare it the premier football pitch on the yard? Might a House claim it as their stronghold to scheme towards a House shield victory? Or will a new sport emerge based on the geography of the patch to rival Eton Fives?
We will keep you posted on any of these developments and of course on the longer term vision for repurposing this area.
