Shubham Baheti finalist in Economics essay competition

26 Apr 2024
Sutton Grammar School

The ability to research and compose a well-structured written argument, within a recognised academic format, is an essential skill for any economist. This is why the A-level economics students at SGS are encouraged to participate in various essay competitions throughout the year, and the first of these was organised by Northeastern University.

Writing 1,500 words on the subject of ‘Does the expanding gig economy contribute positively to sustainable economic growth?’ Shubham Baheti (12E) recently attended the prize giving ceremony at the university's campus, at St Katherine's dock, as one of this year's finalists. Many congratulations Shubham.
