This week, students attended the latest session of our Oxbridge Preparation Programme, led by Mrs McDonald, which supports aspiring applicants to Oxford and Cambridge throughout the application process.

The programme begins in Year 12, encouraging students to start thinking early about their university aspirations and the steps they can take to strengthen their applications. Meetings are held regularly throughout Year 12 and Year 13, providing guidance and support at every stage of the journey.

Sessions cover key elements of the application process, including super-curricular opportunities, personal statements, course and college choices, admissions tests and interview preparation. This week's meeting focused on helping students understand what to expect from Oxbridge interviews and how best to prepare for them.

As part of the programme, students will also have the opportunity to take part in mock interviews in November, supported by both staff and former students. These invaluable experiences help candidates build confidence and develop the skills needed to succeed in the Oxbridge interview process.

Through Mrs McDonald's expert guidance, students gain valuable insight into the demands of Oxbridge applications, helping them make informed decisions and prepare thoroughly for each stage of the process.
