This year, we have introduced a Friendship Workshop for our Year 7 students to support them as they transition to secondary school.

Starting a new school can be an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience. The workshops are designed to help students build confidence, recognise their strengths, celebrate their achievements and develop a positive sense of self-belief.

Delivered within form groups, the sessions also encourage students to strengthen new friendships and foster a sense of belonging within their form, year group and the wider Sutton Grammar School community.

The workshops have provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect with one another, helping to ensure that every Year 7 student feels welcomed, supported and part of the SGS family.
