On Friday, 9 October, SGS was visited by former SGS Computer Science student Taylan Buckell. Taylan is now a junior cyber security expert working for 2T Cyber Security Limited. Whilst he was a student at SGS, Taylan participated in our Cyber Centurian program and benefitted from the government's Cyber First program. In November, Cyber First will be rebranded as Tech First.

TechFirst is a £187 million UK government national skills and education programme launched to embed digital, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology learning into classrooms, communities, and workplaces. Taylan spoke to a group of sixth-form students interested in careers in tech and fielded questions about how to become involved.
