Year 9 Devon Trip - Sports Galore!

This year’s trip to Devon for Year 9 was one of the best school trips I have ever been on.

The hotel was a great place for us to have fun from the beautiful setting to the activities available.

I was surprised at how many activities the hotel: unihoc, volleyball, padel, pickleball, adventure golf, swimming, ice curling, cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, dodgeball, handball and zumba to name a few!

The rooms were clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The hotel staff were friendly and always happy to help us out with finding out where the next activities were happening. The food was also much better than I anticipated, there was a delicious variety at each meal.

It was lovely to have so much time with friends. We had many good times together on the trains, coaches, and at the hotel. There was always something going on, whether it was daytime activities, a game of pickleball after dinner, or just hanging out and laughing in groups in our dorms.

I enjoyed the trip because the teachers organised things very well and kept us safe. There were so many new activities to try, and I picked up new skills without it feeling like normal school.

Because of transport problems the journey home was long, but everyone was talking and laughing about their favourite moments from the trip. We were all tired but happy because we'd had such a great time. I was loving the trip so much I didn’t want it to end.

Overall, my year 9 trip to Devon was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay in this nice and well-equipped hotel, trying all the different activities and hanging out with my friends. I made a lot of great memories, learned new things and had a lot of fun. It’s a trip I will always remember, and I would be very happy to have another school trip like it in the future!
