Supratit (7W) has achieved further success on the national and international chess stage following two prestigious events this summer.

He was invited to attend the Kasparov Selected Chess Training Camp in Zagreb, Croatia, where he had the unique opportunity to meet and learn from former World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov, widely regarded as one of the greatest chess players in history. During the camp, Kasparov reviewed several of Supratit’s games, offering personal feedback on his strengths and areas for development. The experience also led to ongoing support from the Kasparov Chess Foundation, which will continue to provide access to elite coaching opportunities. 

Supratit then competed in an International Master (IM) Norm Tournament in Sheffield, where he produced an outstanding performance. Finishing joint first on points, he scored 6.5 out of 9, recording five wins and three draws. Most importantly, he secured his second International Master norm, moving a significant step closer to earning the prestigious International Master title.

At just 12 years old, Supratit now needs only one more IM norm and a small number of additional rating points to achieve the title. Accomplishing this would be a remarkable milestone and could place him among the youngest players in English chess history to reach this level.
