On Monday 6th July, ten Year 8 students went to watch the Poetry By Heart finals at The Globe Theatre. They saw a selection of wonderful performances by students, teachers, and poets, from all around the country. There was also a demonstration of Elizabethan sword fighting, showing the different kinds of weapons that Shakespeare's actors would have fought with on stage, and how they were used - useful information for future studies of Romeo & Juliet, and Macbeth.
