On the 14th May 2026, Sutton Grammar School’s Year 7 students took part in our very first Year 7 Careers Day, Building a Meal Deal. Working collaboratively in teams, students created a brand identity, visited a local supermarket to source ingredients, and then designed and built their own meal deals. Teams presented their final products to a panel of judges, who tasted and assessed each entry before students delivered confident Dragon’s Den-style pitches. Volunteers—supporting as ex‑pupils and an ex‑teacher—praised the excellent behaviour, teamwork, and impressive work ethic shown throughout the day, with every student fully participating in the pitching. The event ended with well-deserved winners crowned across categories including Best Taste, Best Presentation, and Best Pitch.
