On Thursday, 9 October, an impressive 168 Sixth Form students participated in the UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge, demonstrating their problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for mathematics. The sheer number of participants reflects the vibrant mathematical spirit within our school community.
While we await the results, we are delighted to celebrate the recent achievements of our female students in UKMT girls’ events, where they excelled with outstanding performances:
Distinction Certificates:
Hailey Ng – Mathematical Olympiad for Girls – Best in School
Kristy Ho – Mathematical Olympiad for Girls – Best in Year 12
Samyue Lee – Mathematical Competition for Girls – Best in School
Dora Krkos – Mathematical Competition for Girls – Best in Year 12
Emily Gunning – Mathematical Competition for Girls
In addition, eight girls were awarded Merit Certificates, a testament to their dedication and talent.
We are especially proud of Hailey Ng, one of the top scorers in the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls, and Charlie Schutte, who excelled in the Hamilton Olympiad 2025. Both students have earned automatic qualification to British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1 — a remarkable achievement in this highly competitive national event.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our students for their hard work and accomplishments. These results reflect not only individual brilliance but also a thriving culture of mathematical excellence at our school.
