In our school community, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of our students both in and outside the classroom. One such student is Jethro in Year 8.

Jethro has been a devoted member of the Sutton Music Trust (SMT) for nearly five years. Recently, he took a bold step and applied to join the brand-new SMT Youth Forum, an initiative designed to give young people a taste of real-world experience through writing personal statements and going through a formal application process. We’re thrilled to share that Jethro was successful in his application and has now taken on the important role of Committee Member within the forum.

This opportunity allows him to contribute ideas, represent the voices of other young musicians, and help shape the future of youth music in Sutton. His success is not just a personal milestone, but a testament to the values of leadership and community that we nurture here at school.

Outside of music, Jethro also gives back through his regular service as an altar server at his church, Our Lady of the Rosary in Sutton, a role that demands dedication and responsibility. He has also been awarded the Guild of St Stephen Bronze Medal in recognition of his five years of service.

Well done, Jethro!
