Year 12 Students who chose biomimicry as their Cogitas option carried out an exploration of how nature has inspired innovation in art, design and architecture. Exploring the works of Antoni Gaudi in the city of Barcelona and Dale Chihuly’s sculptural forms around the world. Analysing Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry’s fluid Architectural style. Looking at how micro and macro structures found in nature have inspired and influenced designers to solve human design challenges or create a piece of functional or aesthetic design.
