Despite the unseasonal weather (rain, storms, thunder and lightning), 45 Year 8 students enjoyed a great week in Gredos, Spain. They participated in a range of events from swimming (in a tiny, freezing pool!), zip wires, cooking, T shirt painting, orienteering, and ecology walks in the local countryside.  All lessons and activities were conducted in Spanish and the students made amazing progress in their speaking; the monitores were super-impressed with how quickly they learned some tricky and specialized vocabulary. Thank you to the teachers who accompanied the trip; we are all very proud of the enthusiasm and excellent behaviour of the Year 8 students, who were excellent ambassadors for SGS.
