On 4th December, we visited the Television Centre, the former headquarters of the BBC, for the launch of the Women's Association's Executive Challenge programme. The Executive Challenge connects girls from under-represented communities with companies to give them an insight into the working world. Each of us will have one-to-one meetings with an executive, six months of mentoring, and a three- day work experience/team challenge at our corporate sponsor organisation; for us this includes Lego, British Bank and Computacentre. At the launch event, we met our mentors, and were given an insightful task from the Lego Foundation about the power of play, and how it can improve a range of cognitive and physical skills.
