On Wednesday 24th June, we hosted our Higher Education and Careers afternoon for our current Year 12 pupils. It was a sweltering afternoon, but in air-conditioned rooms and with a relaxed uniform, our students listened intently to legal, medicine, engineering and whole host of professionals from a range of industries. 

These afternoons not only provide our current students with valuable insight into their options beyond Sutton Grammar, but also is a great way of reconnecting with former students. From alumni who left just twelve months ago, to established experts in their field, it is fantastic to catch up. We also hope that our volunteers enjoy coming back to the school to see what has and what has not changed in their absence.  

After the event, refreshments were taken in the canteen for a more informal catch up with staff. A huge thank you to all involved (we’d love to have you back next year!) and if you think this is something you’d like to take part in down the line, keep an eye on our newsletter and social media content in just under a year’s time.
