Last week, Miles Searle (OS 2016-23) took part in the Mastermind Grand Final. Having powered through previous rounds tackling subjects such as the composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein and actor Sir Laurence Olivier, Miles entered the final seeking to become the youngest ever winner of the show at just 21 years of age.
Miles is currently studying Art History at Sorbonne University in Paris and selected Notre-Dame Cathedral for his specialist subject in the final, saying “it’s a building that encompasses a lot of what I’m interested: history, architecture and art.”
On the night, sadly, it was not to be for Miles but regardless, he has proved himself to be a remarkable quizzer and a wonderful ambassador for Sutton Grammar School.
