Year 8 House Physics

Year 8 House Physics concluded today in a tense finale. Having designed and built cars, the teams were pretty much neck and neck going into the final round. With teamwork, design, budget and aesthetics judged, it was time for the actual functional test - the race. Over a short distance, Throwley pushed Lenham into third place, whilst Manor stole first. Then tragedy struck as Throwley's car performed an unscheduled disassembly and was left stationary for the long-distance race. Lenham's car started well but then developed an unhealthy interest in the wall rather than the race, allowing Manor to cruise into first place again.

The overall positions (along with points towards the House Shield):

1st 8 Manor - 5 points

2nd 8 Lenham - 4 points

3rd 8 Throwley - 3 points

Warwick and Greyhound get zero points each for deciding not to enter.
