The French trip was an amazing trip for everyone who went along as it drew new friendships together and allowed all the students to experience things they hadn’t before. We went to war memorials and my favourite, the Bayeux Tapestry; I particularly enjoyed it because it contributed to Britain’s history even though it showed what happened almost 1000 years ago.
Another enjoyable experience was the goat cheese farm. We got to try many different types of goat cheese (even though I had no idea there was more than just “goat cheese”). It was particularly funny when some of the students brave enough to take up the challenge, sprayed goat's milk into their mouths directly from the goat udders.
For quite a few of the other students I would suspect they enjoyed the Chateau the most as we got to learn French at the same time as having fun (such as playing aeroball or a mini scavenger hunt).
Overall this trip was an incredible experience to the bonding with not only classmates but people from other Houses too as well as the sheer number of activities we did. It was just a shame we couldn’t stay a little longer.
