On Monday, 29 April, four students travelled to Media City in Salford to compete in the CyberCenturion X competition. 'Maurice Security', made up of James Southall, Arvin Abdollahzadeh, Anton Simovic, and Jose Fialho, were invited to compete after having become one of the top-ten senior teams in the country out of a competition that included more than 450 schools and coding clubs. While the boys did not win in the finals, we at SGS are very proud of their accomplishments having made it to the finals three years in a row. These boys represented SGS with the style and skills we have come to expect from the students in our Computer Science department. As these boys are all in year 13 and will be leaving us soon, we look forward to the next team of cyber security experts to represent in the future. CyberCenturion is a competition open to students aged 12-18. Please see Ms Corkery if you would be interested in learning more about how to get involved.
