We are delighted to share a fantastic set of results from the UKMT Maths Challenges held in March and April, showcasing the hard work, resilience and impressive problem‑solving skills of our KS3 and KS4 students.

We begin with the follow-on rounds of the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. In the prestigious Cayley Olympiad, we celebrate three joint Best in School achievements: Alexander A (9G), Ben L (9T) and Oliver L (9W), each of whom was awarded a Certificate of Distinction, a Silver Medal, and a book prize in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Our success continued in the Hamilton Olympiad, where David V (10M) was named Best in School and received a Certificate of Merit—a commendable accomplishment at this highly challenging level.

An especially remarkable achievement came in the Maclaurin Olympiad. Charlie S (11M) secured Best in School, alongside a Certificate of Distinction, a Gold Medal, and a book prize—an exceptional result that reflects both talent and dedication.

Students also excelled in the Kangaroo rounds. In the Grey Kangaroo, Eric C (9T) was named Best in School, contributing to an impressive overall tally of 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze certificates. In the Pink Kangaroo, Ezra T (11T) achieved Best in School, while Yugo N (10M) was recognised as Best in Year. Students collectively earned 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 17 Bronze certificates, demonstrating consistent high performance across year groups.

Our younger mathematicians in Years 7 and 8 also embraced the challenge enthusiastically in the Junior Mathematical Challenge, achieving an outstanding 140 Gold, 73 Silver and 53 Bronze certificates. Special congratulations go to Carson W (7L) and Toby W (7W), who were Best in Year 7, and to Sergius L (8G), who achieved Best in School with a perfect score—an exceptional accomplishment.

We are also thrilled that 99 students have qualified for the Junior Kangaroo, and 17 students have progressed to the Junior Mathematical Olympiad, with more successes sure to follow.

These results highlight the depth of mathematical talent within the school and the determination of students who have risen to the challenge and progressed to higher levels of competition. Congratulations to all students involved on these outstanding achievements—we are incredibly proud of you all.
