On Thursday 29th January, Year 11 enjoyed a day at the Victoria Apollo Theatre, listening to poets and chief examiners wax lyrical about the GCSE English Literature set texts as well as many other poems. 

The featured poets included John Agard, Liz Berry, Carol Ann Duffy, Daljit Nagra, current Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage (pictured), and Imtiaz Dharker.  It was a wonderful day of culture and community - touching on many abstract themes: from love to grief, and from identity to time.
