SGS Students become Financial Times Advocates

17 Dec 2025
Sutton Grammar School

We are delighted to announce that two Year 12 students, Irina Amalinei and Ryan Beciug, have been successfully selected as Financial Times Advocates.

This exciting programme runs from October to February and gives students the opportunity to complete short, purposeful tasks that develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. Advocates represent student perspectives to the Financial Times, promote the value of trusted news within their school community, and help shape how the newspaper engages with young readers.

By taking part, Irina and Ryan will gain valuable experience as leaders and collaborators, skills that will support their future academic and career goals. Congratulations to both on this fantastic achievement.
