Success in the Bebras Computing Challenge

17 Dec 2025
Sutton Grammar School

In November, 670 SGS Computer Science students were invited to take part in the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. The Bebras Competition is an international challenge that introduces students to computational thinking and problem-solving through engaging, logic-based tasks. It was originally launched in the UK by the University of Oxford and is now coordinated nationally by STEM Learning.

We are very proud of all the students who took part in the challenge, but the Computer Science department would like the highlight the following students who earned a perfect score in 2025.

Jonah Stock - 7 Greyhound

Juan Joshy - 7 Manor

Lucas Kain - 7 Throwley

Arnold Tsang - 7 Throwley

Stanley Kawase Harrison - 8 Greyhound

Sebastian Chan - 9 Greyhound

Alexander Apoolingum - 9 Greyhound

Eric Cheung - 9 Throwley

Ahmadjon Hoshimov - 9 Warwick

Oliver Leach - 9 Warwick

Muhammad Baig - 10 Throwley

Yugo Nakashima - 10 Manor

Harry Kirk - 11 Greyhound

We'd also like to shine a spotlight on Ethan Chaffer in 13 Beta who participated in the Elite category and earned the highest score in the sixth form.
