Outstanding Achievements for SGS at UKMT

We are delighted to announce the exceptional accomplishments of our students in the recent follow-on rounds of the UKMT Mathematical Challenges. Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we are immensely proud of their success.

The Maths Olympiads are designed to challenge high-achieving students with complex mathematical problems. Students are required to present their full written solutions to six Olympiad-style problems. The top 25% of participants will receive a Certificate of Distinction, while the next 40% (45% in BMO1) will receive a Certificate of Merit.

  • British Maths Olympiad Round 1 (For Year 13 and below in England, Wales, and Overseas)
  • Alexandru Bucur - Certificate of Distinction, Best in School
  • Adam Wiechecki - Certificate of Distinction
  • Boaz Ting - Certificate of Distinction, Best in Year 13
  • Sirius Chan - Certificate of Merit
  • Luca Ciripitca - Certificate of Merit

Maclaurin Maths Olympiad (For Year 11 in England, Wales, and Overseas)

  • Aman Chandel - Certificate of Merit, Best in School

The Kangaroo competitions are follow-on rounds for students who excelled in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. The top 10% of participants will receive a Gold Kangaroo Certificate, the next 20% a Silver Kangaroo Certificate, and the next 30% a Bronze Kangaroo Certificate.

These results are a testament to the students' exceptional problem-solving skills and their commitment to excellence in mathematics. We invite you to join us in celebrating these outstanding achievements.
