A night to remember

24 Jan 2025
Sutton Grammar School

By Girik Agarwal 12D

On the 2nd of December we held our annual school’s Christmas concert. We opened the evening with a beautifully decorated hall setting the mood for the buzzing audience, full of parents, teachers and students here to support and enjoy, just waiting for the concert to begin. The night began with the school orchestra immediately setting both the high level of performances as well as the festive mood. The night followed with numerous exceptional performances, numbering 22 the entire night, with a record number of four school Sixth Form bands. In between the performers, the audience did have to suffer me and Samit’s horrendous Christmas jokes!! If we were to thank every single person and teacher for their involvement that night, you would be reading this forever, so sadly I am limited to thanking the very many performers, Mr Doherty, Mr Brook, Mrs Gunn, Mr Roy, Mr Cloves and many more teachers involved behind and in front of the action, without whom it would not have been able to go on.

We’ll see you next concert.
