Year 12 Film Group 

This term sees the start of Year 12 Film Group, an exciting enrichment activity held in the Art Studios on a Monday after school, bringing together the creatives in Year 12. Having taken a scene from DNA by Dennis Kelly, previs and animatics had already been created by a member of the group before filming in the drama studio commenced. Now onto their second project, the group have been preparing for the inhouse video for White Ribbon Day on 25th November (pictured above), to bring awareness to domestic violence and a call to stop sexism and aggressive behaviours towards women and girls.

Year 13 Art 

Year 13 art students have been exploring some fantastic tonal work in their own personal studies. Drawings range from aquatic life form in acrylic to inspire architectural designs through the lens of Art Nouveau and Ernst Haeckel. The classically wistful characteristics of the charcoal portraiture studies of the world-famous Impressionist painter John Singer Sargent, to better develop their own exquisite style. Lastly an exciting construction of Victorian Steampunk inspired mechanical designs, using everyday objects and photoshop collaging techniques to bring together curious and imaginative designs in graphite.
