The Year 7 Germany trip will be one that I will never forget. On the first day we all arrived at school at 3am and said our goodbyes to our family for 5 days. After the long 13-hour drive we finally made it to Hotel Mosel kern. Not long after unpacking our suitcases, we were called to dinner, I can't put into words how amazing the buffet food was and after that we played some football in the nearby park. We had Lehnam Vs Throwley Matches each day and if I can recall, I think Throwley came out triumphant.
On the second day, we visited the Deutsches Eck and went on cable car to a nearby castle. It was fun learning about the history of the area and the architecture used to build the monuments. When we came back, we were taken to a village to spend our euros.
On the third day, we went Phantasialand, and it was by far the best theme park I have ever been to, the food was great, the rides were thrilling. Everything was perfect. When we came back, we got to watch the euros matches with all our friends on our room TV.
On the 4th and last full day, we were taken on a calming cruise ride through one of the nearby rivers then we went to a mechanical music museum, and it was fascinating to see how the century old machines still produce beautiful music. To finish we had another session to spend our money before heading back to hotels to repack our suitcases.
On the final day we said goodbye to Deutschland travelled another 16 hours through Germany, Belgium and France before finally meeting our parents.
